Had a good workout at the gym today. Did Shelley's core class of course, she threw in a bunch of push ups which always send me for a loop. I started them on my feet, but sadly I had to switch to my knees halfway through each set. Those always get me! My arms just aren't strong enough yet-need to keep working on it. Several people had read about my 13mile treadmill run on either facebook or here, so it was fun to talk about it and get advice and encouragement from my gym buddies. (Mandy, I'm definately listening!) Wow, she blows me away-I can't believe the muscles she's got on her legs and arms! I want those! Anyway, after class, went upstairs and got a good workout (625calories burned) on the new elliptical machine that I like. Its a cool machine because its a little different than a regular elliptical, it seems to have a running motion to it if you stretch out your strides and I like that. Plus if u pull and push really hard on the handles u can feel your muscles in your arms working, which I like since I want some "guns". And I found out last week that you can do a little balancing thing on the pedals without moving very much , but your heartrate goes up and u start to feel your muscles in your legs-sort of like a core-strength training move on the elliptical---see what a way to multi-task the machine! :)
My 8 year old has a assembly today in 30 minutes and she is going to be honored as a "Tiger Cub" for the month, so we are heading out to watch that pretty soon. "T" loves it when we come to school, but I think its mainly because then she doesn't have to ride the bus home-ha ha. My husband just got home, so he is coming too. One of the benefits of being your own boss is that you get to usually leave work and attend your kid's school functions which is really nice. She loves it too that her Daddy comes too. What a blessing for us! (One of the hard parts of being your own boss though, is that u have to make sure business is going well so u can keep providing jobs for your employees who are depending on you!) Its still work! :) Still such a wonderful blessing though, Thank you Lord! time to go to school, more later! :)
