This is what my ankle looked like after it swelled up from a sting I got on the bottom edge of my foot (see the red circle of the bite) last Saturday from a bumble bee. Needless to say, that bee didn't live long after it stung me! OUCH! As a kid I was highly allergic to bee stings. And as we can see, I still get quite a reaction to them (although not life threatening, thankfully). I haven't had one (except for sweat bees, which don't hurt TOO bad) since I was a kid. I forgot how much those suckers HURT! I couldn't believe it! I just stepped out of the truck in a Walmart parking lot and went to open the back door for T, when all of a sudden my foot was screaming in pain (and so was I!), I looked down and there it was... so I stomped on it!!!! Ferociously, I might add. OOOOHHH that hurt so bad. And it itched. The swelling has finally subsided as of yesterday (Thurs), although it still itches a little bit once in a while. Yuck! Notice in the pix how u can't even see my ankle bone, and that even the bottom of my foot is swelling out a bit. It was really big.
