summer camp

Tomorrow T leaves for her very first summer camp. She is very excited. I, however, (am happy for her), but am already missing my baby. It's full sleepover, away from home, camp. One of the children's teachers from our church will be a counselor (although not hers). Plus, 5 of the kids from our church will be there, so she won't be alone, but I still hope she does fine without us there. I guess she is more ready than me. I can't believe my little girl is going away to her first summer camp. Wow.

I hear ya. Brook goes for her first "away" summer camp in July. It took a TON of convincing from us to get her to go...but once she decided she was going, now she's all about it and we're the ones going "oh my gosh--what were we thinking!" ha ha
They seem so big sometimes until you're letting them leave your protection and be gone for days in someone else's care (that you don't even know) and then they seem WAY TOO LITTLE! :o)
I hope you do okay! If you're like me, you'll probably cry a time or two realizing how precious she is to you and missing her...but it will be such a sweet reunion at the end of the week. Sometimes it's good for us stay-at-hom-moms to get a chance to MISS our kids!
