Ice

Here are some pictures of the ice on the trees in our yard. Until I moved here I never realized ice storms could do this-its so beautiful!

Look closely at the photo above. Notice how the ice is sticking out to the left of the branch and then all the isicles turn and drop straight down? The wind mush have been blowing hard during the ice storm, then when it let up, the ice started dripping straight down instead of at that leftward angle. Isn't that amazing?

This photo shows how thick it was on this little branch... thicker than my finger!

The stream froze over on our neighbors yard. The girls thought that was really cool to walk on water/ice.

My little poser! I like these branches because the ice is covered with fluffy snow which is so pretty too :)

As I write this, all these beautiful images are no longer here. They all melted away. The weatherman is calling for more snow possibly this week though so we'll see what happens.
