This is the new foal born to our neighbors last week. Their owner invited me and the girls over to say HI to the foal inside the fence. What a treat, I had never petted a baby foal before either-so soft! All was going well-even though W kept walking behind the foal and I had to keep shuffling her out of the way in case the foal kicked. I knew horses ofted kicked anything behind them. What I didn't know is that they can also kick you as u stand beside them. T was petting him and standing next to him, when all of a sudden the foal kicked her from the side (faster than lightning!) and got her right on the inside of her thigh. Ouch! She was very scared and upset and it gave her a bruise. But now she is part of the "club" says the owner. So she went to school the next day proudly showing everyone her "battlescar" and telling them about being kicked by a horse. So I guess if it makes a good story for "show-n-tell" (or a blog), its worth it. LOL

Thank goodness she wasn't hurt to bad.
that is so cute....show-n-tell! Ha ha..yes, I am glad she wasn't hurt badly and I hope that she won't have a fear of horses after this. We have horses and have had many, many babies. They are so precious!
