I think its official... I can stop shopping for workout gear! At least work out gear for the gym (I'm still in search of a good pair of running shorts with pockets to wear on long runs, and also a Dryfit v-neck short-sleeved top with pockets too , also for long runs. This way i can stash kleenex and chapstick in the zipped pockets and have it handy.) No luck finding any I want at a good price yet. HOWEVER, today I ran into Academy to see if they had put a certain pair of shorts on clearance yet that I tried on previously and they look cute with that pink top I spoke about earlier. They were $22 and I only wanted to pay $5 or at the most $10 for them (Academy often marks their clearance prices all they way down to $4.88 so I was hoping for good news)... I got it (they were $10) but they had 2 pair left and still had my size. PLUS they had a ton of new Nike stuff on clearance for $10 and $20. Tried on about 50 things! But came home with a bagful (plus some new workout shirts for my hubby and leotards for the girls for gymnastics which were only $10 each instead of the $40 they charge at the gym). So I am set for gym attire for quite a while! But they are cute and I'll call them my mother's day present (ha ha) even though hubby says my present is already in my workout room :)
Next week is my half marathon I tried to train for. The problem is that I've got a sore spot in the back of my right leg and its been there for about 3weeks every time I run. So I've eased up on the miles in order to help it heal (which hurt my training program), and when i ran today i still felt it, so its not even healed, yet I also didn't run as much as I'd hoped before the race. I just hope it feels good on race day and doesn't cause me any problems, especially since I'm supposed to run with someone and I don't want to hold her back. In fact, I'd really like to speed up my pace in order to keep up with her. We'll see what happens.
Saturday is our 17th wedding anniversary! Yeah! Grandma volunteered to babysit so we are guaranteed a night out, just don't know what we are going to do yet. Yummy food will definately be involved though! :)
Oh, I forgot to tell you. I also bought a pair of "goal" pants. They are stretchy yoga type I think and are capri length. Honestly, they probably look alright to wear right now, but being one of those people who is "blessed" (as Shelley says-yea right!!) with a booty, I am always self-conscious about things being too tight on my butt. I know, I know, that's how everyone wears them and that's how those kinds of pants are supposed to fit, but it still makes me a bit self-conscious and uncomfortable because I don't want some big ol-butt jiggling around back there! Ha! Anyway, I'm thinking as a goal, they will look better in 5-10 pounds, so they are hanging in my closet waiting for that scale to show me some love :) I'll let u know when they do !

Congratulations! Sounds like you hit the store at just the right time. I just love a good sale, especially at Academy! Yea!!!
I have a pain in my right knee. I was so bummed about my half-marathon getting cancelled, but maybe it was a good thing. I noticed it about a week before the marathon, and then when I was running yesterday, it ached for about the first two miles and then it was ok, but after I finished it ached for the rest of the day. My hubby says his feels like that when he runs to. He told me we are just getting old (shame on him! LOL!)
Congratulations! 17 years! wow! That is an amazing accomplishment!!!
We will celebrate 13 years this summer. Where does the time go???
