Ok, here's the deal. My mom is in town for a week, and my husband went out of town for the weekend on a men's golf weekend. So... my mom is helping me take care of the girls. I book a hair appt thinking this will be great, my mom can spend time with her granddaughters and I can get my hair highlighted. Well, at my mom's suggestion instead of riding the bus home from school, like normal. Yesterday, her and I walked with W in the stroller the half mile to the school to pick T up and walk her home. So today T wanted to do the same thing. However, I was going to be at the hair appt so granny would have to do it herself. She had trouble keeping up yesterday (and u HAVE to get there by 3pm) so I told her she should leave by 2:30 so she could walk slower and everything would be fine. I meant to open the stroller for her before I left, because I know my mom, and ANYTHING the slightest bit technical she cannot do (I've had to walk her through turning on the tv before over the phone while I was at work and she was at my house! My co-workers couldn't believe my patience as they heard me explain over and over and over again, very slowly, how to do it! (ugh)) Anyway, so the garage door and the stroller MIGHT be an issue. I explained the garage door before I left, but I forgot to open the stroller. So what do u think happened...
of course!
She couldn't get the stroller opened. But does she call and ask for help at 2:30 or 2:35 or even 2:40? (I don't know about u, but after 5! minutes I'd be calling).
Nooooooo, she calls at 2:56!
I am sitting in the chair at the salon with foil in my hair (I am getting highlights), and my cell rings. I answer it. "WHAT!!??? YOU HAVEN'T LEFT THE HOUSE YET!?" (she wants to walk up there with W, since the stroller won't open) Let me tell you something, she barely made it there herself in 20 minutes yesterday, there is NO WAY she is going to make it there in 4 MINUTES with a 3 1/2 year old WALKING!!!!!
So out the door I fly, still wearing the apron around my neck which I can't seem to rip off-so I have to go back and get help from the closest hairdresser (mine was in the back mixing more color), and out I rush to pick up my daughter from school with lovely foil in my hair.
The even nicer part, is that the lady who walks them to the cars sees me and since T is dawdling, she tells her "hurry up, it looks like your mom is in the middle of something" nice LOL oh,my,goodness!
Even though I was frustrated. I had to admit it wasn't as bad as going to school in my lingerie (you know who you are-ha ha), but what a lovely part of my day.
THEN, I get home at 5pm and the pool guy is there to open the pool. He was supposed to come at 5:30, but I guess he came at 4:30 and started without me. Because he couldn't find the backwash hose (that was in the box sitting right next to the pool----hmm, do u think I should look in there??? YES!), he backwashed a TON of water into our dogrun. Let me tell you something... our dog run doesn't drain very well. And when the dog run is full of water, 2-3 inches deep, our dog doesn't go potty in it...she goes in the house. GGRRRRRR! This is not making me happy. (We just got over 3 weeks of rain, a flooded dog run, and multiple "accidents" in the house. The sun is finally out, the dog run was finally dry, and I was hoping she would get back to normal and go potty outside, and now this happens!) GGRRRR.
Take a deep breath Rene' and wait for it to dry-there is nothing u can do.
By the way, my hair does look cute LOL

HA HA HA HA HA....I am CRACKING up! You and your tin foils at the school picking up T. No...not as bad as me in my Victoria Secret nightie...but still...quite a sight I'm sure!
As for the pool guy...call him everytime Lucy messes in the house and tell him to come clean it up!
(ya...if only). I hope all the sunshine we've been having has dried it back out for you! I can't wait to come spend a lazy day laying on your deck watching the kids swim! (I'm inviting myself! ha ha)
See you tomorrow morning for class!
BTW..I DID notice your hair looked lighter and cute!!
Oh by the way....that is SOOOOOO exactly what my mom would have done too. I mean...to a "T". I have to leave typed out notes everytime she stays at my house explaining how to play a DVD and then switch it back to satellite. ha ha
