My oldest daughter didn't watch any tv or movies until she was 3years old, except for what we called T-----TV (as in if her name was Theodore, it'd be TheodoreTV). These were home videos of her growing up from infancy to her current age. She loved them and I enjoyed them too because anytime I'd be in a room where they were on I'd enjoy watching the changes in her on the video and what a difference it was from her current age/state.
One time she had a friend over and they wanted to watch tv and she was all excited and said "yea, let's watch T...tv!" her friend was like "what's that?" and I laughed because, SHE may enjoy watching herself, but her friend probably would rather watch Disney or something instead of home videos, ha ha. Anyway, it was no problem, she loved it and I loved it too because I got to see her videos lots (which any mom enjoys), and I knew she wasn't being influenced by any inappropriate tv or movies.
Unfortunately, by the time her younger sister was born, this couldn't be done with her as well, bc by that time T was allowed to watch cartoons and movies so of course W would see them too. But anyway, for those of you getting weirded out by my 'unique' philosphies, here's another one for ya ;)

Haha...and now you have more TVs in your home than anyone I know!! =) LOL!!! Of course, We all know your girls aren't tainted by "inappropriate" tv...It's just funny that you had that philosophy and now you have so many tvs =))
my kids still loooooove to watch their videos. :o) I guess we all like to see ourselves on the screen.
