I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 20 years. We have 2 little girls who are extremely precious to me. They are currently 11 and 6 years old. I thank God for my family and the life He has given us. I pray to always be faithful with what He places in our lives to be stewards of. I want to set a Godly example to others, but I know I am not perfect, even though I do strive to be. So, it is still a journey, and sometimes a struggle, to do the right thing at the right time. This applies not only to parenting but also to my reactions in the grocery checkout line. Life is all around us, and we need to remember to try to be that "light" that shines all the time. That is my goal. Not everyone will be won to Christ with a scripture. But many will be brought to Christ through the actions of His servants. I want to be one of those servants who sets a Godly example to my children and to those around me. That being said, sometimes this blog is about that journey, sometimes its about everyday life, and sometimes it is about my successes or "hurdles" I face while trying to live a healthy life.

Here is what my youngest daughter decided to do today... play beauty parlor with our dog. You have to admit, that's a pretty patient dog to let her put all those hair clips in her fur!
Boy, I tell ya, it's times like these that endear that dog to me (however, those numerous times of finding potty accidents in the house certainly don't endear her to me, and get her tossed outside!) ha ha.
Whew! That is a lot of stuff for me to comment on! :o) Okay...first of all...I love that dog! I know she's a little pain in your tush sometimes...but what a sweetie to let W. put all those hair clippies on her! And doesn't she look just all dolled up! :o)
I actually really like the gold-pine-cone tree! It looks rugged and "natural". Cool.
Ashley-if you were laughing--consider yourself among good company because I was too. I think Rene has a serious case of Christmastreeitis. It's clearly an addiction.
Rene, if you feel the need to decorate and put up more than SEVEN trees...you are welcome ANYTIME to come do mine! :o)
Thanks for posting the pic of the ornament I made...although, wow..it is really hard to see, huh?!
And I LOVE your light-up present that you gave me! Everyone that came for our Christmas celebration this weekend was like "WHERE did you get that???" :o)
I didn't think to put it under the tree though, I have it up on my bar as the "Centerpeice". It really shows up there.
