The day I got home from Houston Dan was invited to play in a dodgeball tournament with a friend. He asked if I wanted to go. Oh for sure! This is going to be hilarious! I wouldn't miss it for the world! In fact, I planned on taking videos and posting them here for your laughing pleasure :) However, when we got there it turned out it was co-ed and they were short one girl. So guess who got roped into playing as well? That's right. Me. I was in flip flops and jean shorts with long earrings (can u believe it Jen?). Dan had an extra pair of gym shoes but they were too big for me so I went out to the car and got my bowling shoes and socks (which fortunately I keep in there at all times since I take the girls bowling every week). I tried them on the fake turf and they weren't slippery so I wound up playing in them. I'm sure it was quite a sight, but sadly for u there are no pictures. I was really hoping everyone (before I knew I would be playing) was dressed in retro dodge ball attire (think the movie "Dodgeball") knee highs, headbands, goofy clothes. Our team didn't dress that way, except for one guy, Dax, which I think was great! He looked hilarious and it was just awesome! Some teams did in fact dress up and it was so funny-I loved it! Anyway, I wasn't any good (and neither was our team since we were out after 6 games) but it was a lot of fun! The only drawback it turns out, is that when I was looking for shoes I must have left Dan's gym shoes on the bench instead of putting them back in the bag, and so now he is missing a pair of shoes (oops!) I did call the lost and found too and unfortunately they don't have them. Bummer.

wow! That IS a bummer about Dan's shoes! yuk!
Man what I would give to have been able to watch you play dodgeball! HA HA HA HA and in bowling shoes nonetheless! HA!
One thing I love about you...you can be girly (long earrings yay!!) or you can get out there and play rough with the boys. Either way you have FUN!
(Bet you got a good workout during that tournament too!)
