skating in the summer?!

...which resulted in a very wet bottom!

The girls had such a fun time skating in Colorado this spring that they begged me to take them ice skating here this summer. Fortunately we do have an ice rink in town, so we went. It was a lot of fun, but they gave us hockey skates instead of figure skates, and they really made my ankles sore. I actually had to take breaks and sit down to give my ankles a rest. Ouch. The girls had fun though and even though W fell LOTS, she always got right back up! In fact, when we were getting ready to leave and her sister and I already had our skates off, she asked to go back out there and skate some more with her new friend that she had made while skating. It reminded me of me when I was younger. I always used to go off and enter roller skating contests or join in on things and my mom would be looking for me "oh there she is in the race!" ha ha. Anyway, it was pretty cute and we had lots of fun.
