Barbie gets courture

My daughter T really loves sewing. Her grandma has taught her some things and even got her a great sewing box for Christmas this year. Ever since she got that box, she has been creating things left and right! All I know how to do is fix a hole or sew on a button, but she is going crazy with this stuff. Today we were heading to town (which is about a 30 minute drive each way), she brought along some new fabric swatches she got at the fabric store the other day (with Grandma) and her needle and thread. Lo and Behold, before we had gotten home that day she had created a whole outfit for her barbie, including a little tote bag! Very cute! she really is good at this. I wonder if she'll get into more designing as she gets older, because she really does like creating things and making her own styles and outfits for the dolls. She also loves to cook though too, so who knows, maybe she'll have her own cooking show. Or maybe , just maybe, she'll be a great homemaker and make wonderful meals and clothes/toys for her kiddos :)  ...with an internet business on the side selling her wares ;)
Whatever the future holds, I'll tell you this, she really loves cooking and sewing :)
