Mudroom remodel... continued

I thought it was time to give you an update on the mudroom remodel project.
Since my last post about it, where we just had the walls framed in, we have since added the insulation, gotten all the wiring moved around, and adjusted the heat/air ducts and lights, as well as put up the drywall and had that taped off. Here are some pictures to show the progress.
This above, is the mudroom with a view of the door into the walk-in closet that will be in the mudroom. I am taking the picture at about the place of the door that comes from the garage into the mudroom. If you continue to the right around the corner of that white wall, there is a door into the house.
This is a view from the open 2-car bay garage door looking into the double garage (that will remain-right side). The open door towards the back right side of the picture is the door that leads into the new mudroom. The insulation you see is now covered up and the opening you see to the left will remain open as a walkway from the double garage into the new bike storage garage area  (what was once a single car bay and is now half for bikes and half for the new mudroom).
Here you can see the drywall got taped and is now covering the insulation. That opening still remains as a walkway into the bike area. (Plus the single garage door is still operational so we will be able to get our bikes out easily through a garage door, but I wanted to keep a walkway between the two areas for convenience).

Standing IN the bike area looking out through that opening into the double bay garage.

The garage door is still operational, so in order to get as much space as possible in the mudroom, but not being able to go past the garage door opener, we boxed that in. In the mudroom walk-in closet I will show you an area were we will have built in shelves, these are underneath this garage door opener.
This is looking through the door in the mudroom into the walk-in closet. That framed up area you see straight ahead is the built in shelving area I was talking about above. On the other side of the wall, the garage door opener sits over head, that's why the shelf opening doesn't go all the way to the ceiling.
There will be hanging rods to the left and right, and we will have some hooks on the other side of this wall (in the closet) for hanging stuff too.
[I am getting so excited every time I think about being able to use this walk in closet! I'll take a picture of my current closet soon and post it so you can see why I am going to be so happy once this is finished---its absolutely pitiful and horrible to try to use]

This view is in the mudroom. The door to the left goes to a garage bathroom that has always been like a 'mechanic's restroom' ) just plain nasty! Its where I clean my paint brushes and its for Dan to use when he is in the garage and all greasy, so as u can imagine its about as bad as a gas station bathroom on a deserted freeway-icky. Well, its going to get a remodel too. It'll be turned into a nice bathroom (still for utility functions like cleaning paintbrushes, but at least it won't look like a truck stop anymore).
The door in the middle leads outside to our dog run.
The light shining in from the right is the current opening that  you saw in previous pictures that leads from the mudroom to the double garage. It will get a real door when its done because that will become the entrance from the garage to the house (through the mudroom).
Well, there you have it. Our current stage in the construction. As far as picking out colors the only thing we haven't settled on is the tile. We know we want a brownish one, but haven't found the exact one I like yet. The wood stain and wall paint will be the same as in our add-on, so that is easy. The only other thing is the bathroom counter/sink area. I'm not sure exactly what Dan has planned yet, but as long as it has a big sink for cleaning pool stuff and paint brushes I'll be fine with it.  I'll give you more pictures as we progress. I don't know when it will be done. I've asked Dan, but he hasn't given me a real answer. I hope its within a month :) Looking forward to using that walk-in closet!!!!!!!!!! :)

Looking good! I'm excited to see the finished product and see how organized it will all be! (I am forcing myself NOT to be jealous! :)
